Therapy & Counseling

Evidence-based therapy. Individualized support. Rooted in trust.

What is Therapy?

Therapy is a collaborative process where you can explore your experiences, thoughts, behaviors, and emotions in a supportive and structured way. Whether you’re navigating a major life transition or living with a chronic mental health condition, therapy can help you gain clarity, build coping skills, and move toward lasting change.

What We Offer

At The Psychiatric Center, our licensed therapists provide:

  • Individual therapy for adults and adolescents
  • Skills-based support for anxiety, ADHD, and emotional regulation
  • Trauma-informed care for PTSD and complex trauma
  • Depth-oriented therapy for long-term patterns, attachment, and identity work

You don’t need a diagnosis to benefit from therapy — just a desire to understand yourself more deeply or cope more effectively with life’s challenges.

Therapy Modalities

Our clinicians draw from a range of evidence-based approaches, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Supportive psychotherapy
  • Psychodynamic therapy
  • Mindfulness-based and relational models
  • Motivational Interviewing (MI)

We’ll work with you to find a therapist whose style and experience match your goals.

How Therapy Works at TPC

  1. Initial Evaluation — to understand your needs, history, and goals
  2. Therapist Match — based on clinical fit and availability
  3. Regular Sessions — weekly or biweekly appointments (in person or telehealth)
  4. Integrated Care (if needed) — coordination with your medication provider or PCP

You can receive therapy alone or as part of a combined treatment plan with medication.

Telehealth Options

Therapy is available via secure telehealth video sessions if you prefer to meet from home. We’ll help you decide what format fits best with your life and treatment needs.

Insurance & Payment

We accept most major insurance plans for therapy services, including:

  • Medicare (we are participating)
  • Anthem / BCBS
  • Cigna

We also offer private pay options with clear, upfront pricing.
